As we begin our last debrief of Africa I am amazed at how quickly this first leg of the trip has been.
A lot has taken place in this last three months.
I have been to Swaziland, South Africa, and Mozambique.
I had the wonderful opportunity to build a sisterhood with 7 amazing women of God in Gordon’s Bay, South Africa; one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Our teams have been able to help with kids camps in Pretoria and Johannesburg.
We pitched our tents in the middle of the bush; while we spent the week with an orphanage that had nothing more than UNICEF tarps tied together as a makeshift home.
Our team was able to show the Jesus Film while in Mozambique.
Our last night we drove to the town of Pambara and set up in the middle of all the bars, where we showed the Passion of the Christ.

I have met some great men & women of God; Colin & Cathy Cotterrell, working for the kingdom in Swaziland; Steve & Theresa Kinsley, working in Central S. Africa reaching children; The entire staff at Alabanza, who showed us on a daily basis how community really functions; Tom & Cindy Sipling, serving the Lord in Capetown and the surrounding area; Leon & Pieter, tent makers, everyday pictures of Christ, & our brothers in Pambara & Temane, Mozambique; & Jaco & Maria Rudolph, serving God in Vilanculous, Mozambique.

I have had some wonderful adventures like: riding the economy train from Jo-burg to Capetown (For an explanation, see Elizabeth’s blog), snorkeling in the Indian Ocean, beach volleyball & the chicken burger at Smuggler’s, or hot dog pizza and the “World’s Best Cup of Coffee” at New York Pizza, the comical attempts of Jenny D., Julie, and myself to try and sleep on Leon’s porch on a double bed… the stories go on and on.
My heart has been with this continent for a long time and after the past three months I can tell you honestly that my heart has only grown more in love with the land and its people.

We are now beginning to prepare our hearts for the challenge and blessing of this next leg.
Thailand will not be easy, a lot of it won’t be fun; but God is working.
He is moving in that country and He is molding the hearts of 28 crazy 20 & 30 somethings who are about to arrive ready for radical change in themselves and in the people of Asia.
