Wow, let me start by saying that I apologize for such a long hiatus from blog writing. It was not my intention to drop off the face of the blogosphere…
The last several months have seen many changes come for O squad & myself. Jacob & I commissioned the new squad leaders, three amazingly gifted individuals who have such obvious anointing. I have transitioned back home again, picked up a few jobs substituting in our local school system, worked at a training camp for squad T, U, & V and have gotten to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with some dear family.
As I reflected on my many blessings over the holiday I was overwhelmed by the blessing of my life’s calling. I cannot believe that the Lord took a kid from nowhere, NC & has sent me out to help bring change to the world. I cannot believe that He has seen fit to bless my willing heart with the opportunity to serve those who are hurting & broken. I am blessed by the fact that I have been able to go on the race now 3 times & see God move & grow something new in me each time. I am thankful for my precious H & O squads; each of them has impacted my life more greatly than they will ever know. I am blessed by every contact & friend I have made, every meal I made for others & meals provided for me. I am thankful for every smile I got to give, every hug I got to receive, & every hand I got to hold.
I am thankful for you, my ministry partners as well. You have walked with me through plenty & in want. You have prayed for me, contacted me to see how I was doing, & you have given so generously from the storehouses the Lord has provided for you.
I want to give you an update on where I am in my support goal. I have still $3,315.64 to raise in order to cover costs from the 4 months I was on the field with O squad. The majority of this cost comes from the plane ticket home from Africa…I think Africa is the most expensive plane ticket of anywhere I have been in the world.
I have the opportunity to see the squad for their 8 month & 11 month debriefs, both of which I need to raise the money to cover costs. I am looking for partners to come alongside me in this ministry to give monthly. The World Race has essentially become my full time job & I find that trying to raise for a specific event is more difficult than asking people to seek conviction on partnership.
SO, here is me asking…Would you prayerfully consider partnering in the ministry to this generation & to the world?
