It’s been WAY too long since I’ve blogged anything! I’m so sorry guys…I really need to get in the habit of doing this more, ha!
So here’s a quick update about everything that’s going on…
Training camp is in less than 1 month! Whoa! Where has time gone??! This means that time is winding down quickly and I’m beginning to make final preparations for my last couple months in the US. Can you say EXCITED?? 🙂
With everyone’s help and dedication, I’ve been able to raise almost $4,500!! I’ve been blown away by everyones generostiy and support. Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this process, whether it be with your time, your prayers, your financial support, your encouragement, your ideas or your donations! Ya’ll have blessed me like WHOA!
An unbelievable friend has offered to help me out with a BBQ Dinner on Sunday, July 18th at Southside Assembly of God. We’ll start around noon, so if you’re in the Savannah area, we’d love for you to come out and eat some of the best BBQ you’ll ever have the pleasure of trying! Can I just say that this lady is one of the BEST cooks I know! You won’t be disappointed!! All of the proceeds from the BBQ will go towards my World Race. So ya’ll get to chow down on amazing food AND help out in the process!! You can’t go wrong with that!
On Saturday, August 14th, I’ll be having a giant yard sale at Southside Assembly as well. I’m currently in the process of taking in donations from…well…everywhere, ha! If you have anything you’d like me to take off of your hands, I’d be more than willing to get rid of it for you. So far, people have donated everything from Playpens to Vaccums to Clothes. This is going to be one massive yard sale and I can’t wait to see God’s provision!!
That’s what is going on right now. I’ve got a few more
ideas up my sleeve and I guarantee they’ll entertain and give you TONS of laughs! Here’s a hint to what may be popping up soon…
As I get closer to September, I’ve gone through so many different emotions. From excitement to anxiousness about leaving everyone to complete faith in God’s provision. It’s definitely been a journey and I can’t imagine that it’ll slow down from here on out. 🙂 God’s definitely been showing me so much about Himself, myself and how He’s preparing. I’ve had the opportunity to come face to face with past struggles and recognize how far I really have come from it all. It’s that much more reassuring that the old is most definitely gone and the new has come that much more!
I can’t wait to step out even more in faith and trust! It’s exciting letting go of everything and having to rely on God for every single thing necessary to keep moving forward! More and more, I’m recognizing that my favorite David Crowder quote has become one of my life-long mottos: “Maybe like a match being lit or the sinking of a ship, letting go gets a better grip.”
So, I’m still letting go and letting God as He paves this pathway for me. Hope to see everyone at the BBQ dinner and the yard sale! Thanks again to EVERYONE! I love ya’ll!
