Hello all!
I am excited to tell you some news about me…whether you know me by Jennifer, Jenni, or some other variation. My life is about to change….for the better, and I hope to change many other lives for the better, as well.
I have been accepted to the World Race! Not the TV show—that’s The Amazing Race (even though this trip WILL be amazing) but I have been called to go out and spread God’s love to 11 different countries in the span of 11 months. Can you see me building wells in Zambia to bring people fresh water? Or perhaps living among gypsies in Romania teaching English or working in orphanages in the Philippines? Basically, I will be doing whatever is needed.
The desire to do mission work has been in my heart for many years. In high school friends made me a blanket that said “Africa” because I expressed my desire back then. One day, through a stroke of luck and Divine Intervention, the World Race appeared blinking back at me through my Google search. I am fortunate that the World Race will allow me to help spread my love of God so that others can be touched as I have been….and it will hopefully open my eyes up to so many things as well.
I am ready for God to change me and show me His world like I have never seen it before.
I have been working in the banking industry since high school, and so I know how forgotten the penny has become. Admit it: there is one on the floor of your car or in the bottom of your purse right now. However, I also know that a lot of pennies can add up to something great. I will be traveling 29,530 miles around the world next year and in order to leave fully funded by January 2015, I need to raise $16,243. I am asking you to donate a penny a mile to send me on my mission. If you can’t afford the full mileage, perhaps you can get me from one location to the next:
