Check the map, check the road, check the map…PANIC!!!!!
Have you ever been completely lost
in an unfamiliar place? This past weekend my family decided to drive up to the Wisconsin Dells, to spend some much needed family time at my uncle’s cabin. I had to work late on Friday 🙁 …so I was going to meet them after work. The drive was great, blasting my music and singing songs…or lip singing songs to be exact. Until the last 5 miles!!! My Directions no longer had street names only landmarks. Not that any of that matter because it was the middle of the night on a country road in Wisconsin with no street lights for miles. After driving up and down the same road about a million times knowing that I was missing the turn. I pulled into a gas station to get directions. Insert another problem: the gas station was closed. (Did I mention middle of nowhere Wisconsin?)
I was so tempted to give up and spend the night in my car, to try again in the morning (you know when I could actually see my surroundings). I wanted to do it on my own I didn’t want help. But with no other option (not really wanting to spend the night in the car) I called my Dad. I realized that I can’t do everything on my own. Sometimes you have to ask for help. Whether you are asking from the heavenly father or your earthly one, He will show you the way.
Maybe you’re lost right now. All you need to do is ask God for help and he will send it to you. My help came in the form of my Dad. He found me and was able to lead me to the cabin, which I would have never found without him.
“But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:14
