Yep, I’m headed out on another trip!

These past few weeks I have been on the job hunt. And it was going well, and then God started shutting the doors and most of my job options fell through. I also wasn’t getting peace about the jobs.

I sought God out and asked what He wanted me to do. He simply told me to wait, again (it’s a never ending lesson). It was hard because in my mind, I needed a job before doing anything else, which makes the most sense. A few days later I felt God calling me to apply to be a trip leader for Passport. After an interview I was accepted to be a part of a Passport trip. This has taken me completely by surprise. I had my own plans like getting a job and being in Traverse City till at least the end of summer.  But God has different plans for me and right now, that involves more travel and international ministry.

Passport is a program run by Adventures in Missions, which is the same organization that runs the World Race. Passport is a 3 months long trip to one country for ages 18-22. It is similar to WR yet different so I’m not sure what to expect.  I do know that as a trip leader my main ministry will be the group that I’m with, to love and encourage them. I am really excited about this opportunity!

I will be going to Jamaica with a team of 9. The trip starts on the 21st. However I will be leaving for GA on the 11th for a post WR program called Project Searchlight and then right after that starts the trip leader training on the 17th. I don’t really have any more details about what ministry will be yet, as this whole process has been very sudden and unexpected, but I will keep you all updated. Prayers are what I need most. Pray that I would be able to lead with humility and love. And that I will have a stress free week as I pack and get detail things figured out.

I also need to raise $2000 for this trip. As I was praying about this I had/have so much peace that money is the least of my worries. God has provided in the past and He will continue to do so. If you feel led to donate then you can click on the “Support Me” tab at the top of the page.
