Today I will be driving 10 hours with my son to deposit him into the heart of Interlochen, Michigan’s School of fine arts for six weeks.
He is a very talented musician to say the least! He is fluent on several different instruments, but will be going to sharpen his skills on the Euphonium, which is a brass instrument.
It is like a catch 22 with my feelings.
1. It is a great opportunity for Christopher to go to this school. It is very prestigious and will look tremendous on a college application, not to mention just the learning experience.
2. OK… I am going to miss him soooo much. We have had tons of fun over the last couple of months. He is so special and such a delight to be with. He is a lot of fun… the life of the party!
So in saying all of that, I am asking you for your prayers today and over the next six weeks. Specific prayers are: safety while driving ( I will be coming home 10 hours by myself tomorrow), for Christopher to make good godly friends, learn all that he can, and that he will actually write me!
