This is Bill. He is a pretty neat guy. The first couple of times I met Bill, I though that he was a bit different. See, Bill really likes to camp and rough it. He looks for adventure in nature all the time. I personally could not get a grasp on why anyone would be like this. Bill has done many exciting things outdoors including taking a long trip to hike hundreds of miles on the

Appalachian Trail
which took months. He had nothing but a backpack and a pair of shoes. He has the packing list of all lists and will challenge anybody to the test. He and his wife, Pam (who packs a portable air-conditioner), take off for escapades all the time. They have purposely traveled to

Nebraska
and surrounding to chase tornados, camped in the Key’s during hurricane season, and much more. To shift a little, Bill is wearing what has been renamed from “head lamp” to “Bill Head.” Let me explain. In Bill’s opinion, outside of a trowel, this is the most important thing to bring with you on a camping trip… or anywhere else. He wears it faithfully without taking it off to sleep (for camping that is). He is like a cowboy with his boots and hat.
 It is hilarious. Everybody in

Gainesville
,

Florida
knows what a Bill head is. Well – ok – maybe not everybody, but a lot do. However, the coolest and best thing I like about Bill is not his lamp or his love and passion for camping and adventure; it is his love and passion for Jesus Christ. I was first impressed by his knowledge and insight in the Psalms (he knows them all – really).
Moreover than knowing the Scriptures, he walks in them. Bill is a person of integrity and excellence! He will not fudge on anything, and I do mean anything.
If it takes him hours to complete a task that would normally seem to take you or me minutes, you can rest assure, it is 100% accurate. Bill is truly one of the smartest people I know, especially with computers and numbers. I highly esteem Bill; I even long to possess the quality of character that he contains. This one’s for you Bill. You’re a GREAT friend and example of how the body of Christ should look like.
