Faithfully, I have been going to Heremias’ house daily for prayer. He is responding wonderfully! He still gets excited when I walk through the door. He never gets tired of my coming over, and neither do I.

His family has been exceptionally nice and even asked if I would stay for dinner one night. That night, the media team had come over too, so they served them as well. I do believe that they fed us their dinner, so please pray that God would multiply back to them what they sacrificed.

On Friday while I was there praying, the Lord said to invite Heremias and his family (Mom, Dad, Brother) to church. They accepted the invitation. His mom asked if I would walk to church with them; of course I said yes. Blown away by their response, I left their home a very happy person!

Sunday morning is here. It is raining outside, and I felt anxious about going to get Heremias. I was a little nervous about what the town would say or think of him. I did not want him to be a laughing stock or the sort. At this point, I did not know if people even knew Heremias or his circumstances, because there is still a language barrier. However, he and I correspond quite well.

I was relieved when we arrived at their house and saw that they were all ready to go. I grabbed Heremias’ hand, and off we went. As we walked down the street, Heremias steadily looked around at the scenery in awe. His face was lit up brighter than a Christmas tree. His brother explained that this was the first time Heremias had been out, led alone away, from his house in more than 11 years!! Glory to GOD!

His family was worried that he would get angry or disturbed in church. We told them that he would be fine because he was delivered from that. Heremias had a really good time in church. He loved the praise and worship, and even sat through the sermon patiently.

I have been so blessed to watch Heremias’ recovery. The Lord is so faithful to have delivered him. I am very humbled that He would use me to be a part of such a miracle!

I would ask that you would be burdened to pray for Heremias and his family often, for they have no support. We will be leaving Arroyo, Palenque on Friday morning. It is going to break my heart, so please pray for me too!
