Well another year goes by.
I am digging Jesus!
The KEY word here is “CHOICE”
Today I celebrated, with Resee Cups, my SIXTH year anniversary of sobriety. I am officially on my way to my 7th year… Jubilee Year!
I will never forget on November 4, 2001 before I passed out in a dark, isolated closet the words, “I want to die God.” I had had enough of “life.”
He took me at word and overnight delivered me from the destination of hell on earth and eternity. On November 5th – TODAY – I began a new journey! Drugs, alcohol, and promisuous lifestyles were my choice then, and now JESUS CHRIST is my choice and my HEART!
The Scriptures say that since I am dead to sin, I am alive with Christ, and that b/c of this, too, I am a new creation in Him!
I am glad that my God promised me in that very closet that I would never have to seek another substance, only Him!
I could not have done this without an incredible group of friends though!
