Earlier this year, I struggled with trying to figure out what my future may hold and what career path I would want to take. After praying and giving all my worries and anxieties to God, a light bulb finally went off in my head in February of 2015.
First, God put the feeling deep pain and emptiness in those who don’t know Him and His love, heavy on my heart, to the point where my heart physically started to hurt. This is where it clicked, THIS is what I wanted to do. I wanted to teach God’s word, share His love, and build His Kingdom.
Soon after, God showed me The World Race. I did my online research and I got in contact with an admissions representative and she gave me some information told me that I’d have to wait a couple of months to apply. There I was, waiting yet again but, I know God is always faithful.
As I waited and continued to pray, the time came for me to apply. It didn’t take long after that for me to get notified that I had been accepted into The World Race!
This whole idea has been a HUGE leap of faith for me. Three countries in nine months. I have never been away from home or my family for that long, and craziest thing is that I have never even been on a mission trip before! I have a year to prepare but how does one prepare to change their entire life style? I’ll be living life in a totally new and different way and here is where I’ll be going….
Balkans
Philippines
South Africa
I am so thrilled and uncontrollably excited to visit these countries and see God’s work. It’s God’s faithfulness that brings me peace. It’s God’s love that reminds me why I’m doing The World Race.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord.” Jeremiah 29:11-14
