I am definitely not one who has the right words to share in a situation. Speaking doesn’t come easy to me. But I feel as if GOD wants to grow this in me, trusting that HE will provide the words. There is a stir within me to speak for others, to stand up for them in a way, or to speak truth…to not always be silent, but to speak.
So I prayed…
GOD, you are my voice. It is your words I want to speak. Teach me to listen as the spirit moves. Teach me to be obedient when you ask me to speak. May you be heard.
And GOD responded…
If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. ~1 Peter 4:11
So I waited. And then he came to me. He was a sweet older man, who seemed eager to talk to someone. He had some very good conversations with Zack and Anna and really appreciated their time and their prayers. He shared a lot with each one of us. He talked about family and he shared his struggles. He shared his appreciation for a friend to talk to. And then it happened.
And GOD called us to action…
