As I sit on the cold hospital floor, hearing the sound of nurses and doctors speaking in Spanish in the hallway, hearing my sweet sister Hanna (Ashli Hanna) speaking on the phone with her mother… I praise God that I can still hear the sound of the gentle breath of my beautiful sister Anna as she rests in God’s hands.
Hanna, Anna, and I are still in Miami while the rest of our squad is on their way to Cambodia. We could sit here and wonder over and over again why we are not with them, why this has happened, and worry about it, but instead we are experiencing GOD’s presence and love through it all. Yes, there are hard times. Yes, we are challenged, but the way we support and encourage each other brings us all back to the fact that we are GOD’s hands. HE is holding us as we each walk through this, hand in hand, HE is with us.
And the love that exists between the three of us is indescribable. Hanna and I continue surrounding Anna as healing and clarity are needed in her mind, her heart, and her body. I am on my knees wanting to do nothing but serve my sisters in the love, GOD’s love that has consumed me. It is more than me, it is HIM. That is the way it should be! I am nothing and HE is everything. I want nothing, but for HIM to fill my sisters with peace, joy, comfort, rest, and above all LOVE.
Let me be a servant, GOD. Use my hands, my feet, my heart. Take all of me, for YOU are more than I could ever be.
As we hold hands, YOU are there. As we embrace each other, YOU are there. As we speak YOUR Truth, YOU are there. YOUR love has taken us deeper. As we pray, as we serve, as we love, YOU are there.
