Here are some of my favorite memories from the past month starting with our arrival in Nepal to landing in Bangkok, Thailand:
- front row seats to a gory goat beheading
- using the outdoor hand-pump to shower fully clothed while washing those clothes simultaneously
- teaching a health class on body systems and a science class on plant life to fifth graders
- teaching students Red Rover
- an impromptu walk through the village with an enthusiastic entourage of locals
- sleeping under a huge mosquito net every night
- peeing in the front yard
- doing laundry at the water pump pioneer style
- learning how to make samosas for dinner
- riding on the top of a public bus to our village
- climbing up to the roof of the school
- churning butter
- climbing prayer mountain
- showering outside at the pump when a storm hit, made it back to the room with sticks in my hair and covered in dirt
- loving on some street boys in Thamel
- bungee jumping off a bridge on the border of Tibet in the rain
- finding hidden treasures in random shops in Thamel
- riding in a trolley crammed with packs and singing Our God to the taxis following us in Bangkok
