To my Dearest Family and Friends,
The work that God has done in my life over the past several years has been amazing! I am completing four years of teaching high school math and will be earning my Master’s degree from Covenant College in May. Through all of this, the Lord has been faithful and has placed a burden on my heart for the lives of those who do not know him. I am excited to tell all of you about the mission that God has placed on my heart for the coming year! I will be joining Adventure in Missions as a part of The World Race. I will travel around the world for 11 months, serving in 11 different countries, sharing the gospel of Christ wherever I go. I will depart in July 2008 and return in May 2009.
The desire of my heart is to know my Savior and to make Him known among the nations, “At any cost, by any road.” The World Race will allow me to explore God’s world, its beauty and people, while training me to be a laborer for the gospel and making me a disciple of Christ. In each country we visit, I will have the opportunity to minister to those who need to hear the message of Jesus. I am thankful for God’s provision and excited about this opportunity!
I am writing to ask you for your support of my journey to spread the gospel and love of Christ among the nations! I need your prayers for myself and my team as we embark on this amazing, life-changing, Christ-exalting, transforming journey across the globe for God’s glory! I also need your help financially. I would be honored if you would join me in these two capacities for the next year. I need at least ten people who will commit to pray for me everyday until I return. I also must raise $15,000 to cover my living and travel expenses for the 11 months that I am on the World Race. I calculated that if only five people gave $100 a month, seven people gave $40 a month, fifteen gave $25 a month, and twenty gave $10 a month, then I would meet my goal! Please prayerfully consider supporting me financially, for one of these amounts or any amount.
I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, which invites you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions. You may write “appealed by” and my name in the memo section of the check if you wish. All donations should be mailed to Adventures in Missions, P.O. Box 534470, Atlanta, GA 30353-4470. Including the enclosed card will provide AIM with all necessary information. Adventures in Missions is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies completely at the discretion of Adventures in Missions and that the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations. Gifts may be tax deductible; please consult your tax advisor.
