We found out a few days before leaving for Dublin that we’d
all be experiencing team changes
during our squad debrief (which took place for a few days after the Awakening.)
I was totally broken when I first found this out and literally had to cry it
out/ mourn with my team. We worked so well together, truly loved one another,
and operated out of our giftings uniquely. We were family (and still are!) But
after praying, processing, and truly bringing this to the Lord, I realized once
again that without challenges there
would be no growth. I came on this race to be challenged and grown. I want
all that God has for me. I want more. I realized that I was comfortable with my
team family but that God doesn’t call us to comfort. By having these team
members taken away from me I knew that all
I had left to cling onto was Jesus… and anything that makes me hold tighter
to Him is a good thing. Jesus is my rock, and with Him I will not be shaken
(Psalm 16:8).
God is binding our whole SQUAD together as a family and allowing us to be in teams
where we will ultimately be stretched
and grown to the greatest degree possible. So yea, God gave me a lot of
peace about that and when I found out my new team I felt even more peace and JOY! Although I love my old
team and am going to miss them… I am SO EXCITED about my new team as well!
They’re legit. 🙂

(This is all of us in the hotel where the AWAKENING took place! From left to right is: me, Angela, Brittany P., Daniel, Brittany C., Sydney, and Justin. I LOVE THEM!)
Our new team consists of Daniel Montenegro as our leader,
Sydney Sample (one of the three squad leaders who is on our team as well,) Justin
Jue (the logistics man) and Brittany Priess (two of the same teammates from
Jubilee!), Brittany Cox, Angela Murray, and myself. YAY! After talking, praying,
and asking the Lord about it, we decided our new team name will be TEAM WELLSPRING! The definition of “wellspring from
dictionary.com is: “the head or source
of a spring, stream, or river; a fountainhead. A source of anything, especially
when considered inexhaustive. Jesus is the head and source of our lives
and our ministry… He is LIVING WATER that never runs out. His love, mercies,
grace, and freedom are inexhuastive. Wellsprings will rise up around the world as
we bring the kingdom of God to the earth! So yea, it seems to fit perfectly. I can’t
wait to bring some inexhaustive LIVING WATER to people around the world!

“The Lord will guide you continually, giving you WATER when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.” – ISAIAH 58:11
“‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of LIVING WATER will flow from within him.'” – JESUS in John 7:37-38
“Then the angel showed me the river of the WATER OF LIFE, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the HEALING of the NATIONS.” – Revelation 22:1-2
There were some other squad changes that occurred at debrief
that I want to fill you in on as well. Three of our squadmates were moved up to
squad leaders – I’m so excited for them! Sydney Sample, Aly Beeler – my old
team leader, and Nathan Salley will all be leading us boldly. They’re anointed and amazing. I feel
very blessed by them! Andrea Gosselin and Nathan Boaldin were moved up to team
leaders too. There have been lots of awesome changes and places where the Lord
is continuing to grow us all!
We’re leaving for KENYA
tomorrow morning at 7am… YAY!! I can’t
believe I’ll be in Africa tomorrow! So insane! So excited! We’ll be working
with a ministry in Isibania (apparently
this town is so small it can’t be found on a normal map… sweet!) which is right
on the border of Tanzania. I believe we’ll be working as guidance counselors
with some youth from a church there. I don’t know what that’s practically going
to look like yet, but more to come later on! Just a heads up… we’ll be in
AFRICA for the next three months. Translation: internet access is gonna be
pretty shady… so I don’t know how often I’ll be able to get online. But I’ll do
the best I can. 🙂
I LOVE YOU ALL SO
MUCH!! I would not be able to do this without you guys and I feel beyond
blessed to have this divine opportunity. THANK YOU for your PRAYERS, support,
encouragement, emails, comments, messages, and LOVE. I am SO GRATEFUL. 🙂
