KARIBU! (Welcome!)

I thought I would share some pictures of beautiful Kenya for your viewing pleasure… ENJOY!

These are some of the children at the first school we ministered at: Sigori Simba Primary School – they were precious!

The same school… checking out the inside πŸ™‚

B.Cox and I can’t get enough of the Orange FANTA!! I’m slowly getting used to all the soda they so graciously serve us here. πŸ™‚

Our home fellowship group after church last Sunday; we were singing praise songs when all of a sudden a group of children just wandered into the house after hearing the music… it was so precious! So we welcomed them in, talked to them, gave some encouraging scriptures, sang some more songs, and prayed with them. I love these God-ordained encounters with Jesus’ beautiful children! πŸ™‚

Michael – our trusty cook, guard, and friend – and Daniel are about to KILL THIS CHICKEN for our evening meal. Yup, it happened. I got this picture but couldn’t bear to watch the slaughter occur. Oh this is Africa. πŸ™‚

We visited an orphanage and clinic run by KENYArelief.org (CHECK THEM OUT, they’re legit!! I’ll tell you more about them later…) and we were SO EXCITED (notice my face) when we saw the antibacterial hand sanitizer there! You can’t find this stuff anywhere in Africa. The director saw our excitement and decided to BLESS US with THREE BOTTLES of hand sanitizer!!! OH MY GOODNESS!! I almost cried I was so overjoyed! God truly knows how to bless each of His unique children. πŸ™‚

I’m a real African now!! YAY! Angela and I had dresses made with traditional Kenyan fabric and debuted our attire for church this past Sunday. πŸ™‚ We were told we looked very “smart,” which is the term they use to say someone looks “cute.” Awww. πŸ™‚

Me preaching at church about LOVE in my African garb! I felt so official! πŸ™‚

I LOVE KENYA!! Pastor Abraham, Daniel, Justin and I went on a hike and this is what we saw… along with some other gorgeous scenery that you’ll just have to take my word for! We had some other divine experiences on the hike… but I’ll tell you more about those later! πŸ™‚

I LOVE YOU GUYS!! I hope all is well! πŸ™‚
