“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”

-Isiah 12:22

Fear holds us back from our destiny. How many times can we recall that we did not attempt something because of the fear of the unknown? If you are like me, avoiding confrontation and anything scary was the normal way of life. How exciting is this though??? The other day I went bike riding with my best friend at night. We were on an adventure looking for a Geocatch. (Geocatch is a little trinket treasure you find by using a phone app.)The one we picked to locate was hidden underneath a beach access. All I could think about was the pompous grass cutting my skin, spiders, and snakes. I was being a little chicken! My friend went into the shrubs like a pro. She was fearless! I on the other hand could just feel the “what ifs” starting to draw me back. I thought to myself, “Well I am about to literally rough it for 11 months. I might has well start learning to “buck up”. I started taking baby steps and then as I shined my light underneath the walkway, turns out there was nothing to be afraid of after all.

I felt like God used this situation to teach me to be fearless of the unknown and to simply step out in faith. Although I took baby steps at first, I learned that is all God really wants from us. If we just take one small step he will do the rest. If we let fear hold us back it will keep us from completing our destiny here on Earth. I pray that we all will grow in our walk by becoming fearless!

Best,

Jenny
