The big day has finally arrived!! I am officially a quarter of a century old today. It was a great day full of good coffee (thanks Caroline and Callan!), painting a garage, an official Irish dinner (I finally figured out why the “chips” in “fish and chips” are called chips and not fries…I’m a quick one), an AMAZING coffee cake dessert thing (thanks team!!) and my first Skype conversation with my Dad! Overall it was a fantastic day. I woke up at 4am to complete downpour rain and prayed my guts out that God would stop the rain before we woke up…I didn’t want to have to mess with rain the morning of my BIRTHDAY!! Well, of course God was gracious and loving and stopped the rain so we could get ready in peace. Oh and for those of you who have been praying for good sleep…I have slept amazingly the past 2 days…so please know God is hearing your prayers and honoring them.
There will be lots of pictures to post but I am currently on my teammate Beks’ computer (my battery died and I didn’t have my charger…she’s amazing enough to let me use hers, what a blessing!) so I don’t have them. Thank you everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes and to those who forgot, you still have 2.5 hours Ireland time or 8.5 hours Minnesota time to do so. 😉 KIDDING!
I’m loving our ministry and the pastors we are working with are incredible. So genuinely nice…it’s very refreshing. I also met a fellow Minnesotan today..a girl who moved here 2 years ago after she married an Irish guy. Wonderful girl!
Miss you all…enjoy a really delicious cup of coffee for me on my birthday. 🙂
