Driving through Tanzania on our way to Iringa was like driving through a dream. There were mountains on both sides of us, everywhere you looked was green and beautiful and as we drove through a national park we were able to see giraffes, elephants, water buffalo, and monkeys from our windows. The air that hit us as we stepped off the bus was crisp like a fall day. This is heaven.
We met our pastor, Pastor Cha Cha, and his family and we immediately fell in love. Pastor laughs from his heart and is one of the most joyful people I’ve ever met. Mama Pastor is so kind and welcoming and makes us feel right at home. We are completely blessed to be living in the “guest house” where we have beds and showers and indoor plumbing. We’re spoiled.
Our ministry schedule is pretty jam packed with church every night, home visits to church members, dinners with elders, door to door ministry, hospital visits and lunch dates but we’re enjoying every bit of it. Our time here is going by so fast…I can’t believe we have already been here over a week!
The church members are hungry for more and more of God and although the lack of translation can be difficult it is helping me stay motivated to press on for more of God during the latter part of this race.
Thank you EVERYONE for your continued prayers and encouraging words. Internet is sketchy here but I will try to post some more heartfelt blogs soon.
Love and hugs to you all.
