*warning…this is a completely random blog…

This morning I woke up and my computer was broken.  4 hours of my dear friend Rebecca Campos working on it and it’s still broken.  The work is not done so there’s still hope.  I tend to say how much I hate computers…and cars…and all of life’s little wonders when they go haywire but today I wanted to share with you all of the reasons why I have loved my computer on this race.

1.  The obvious reason…Skype calls with my family and friends.  Who knew that just by seeing someone’s face on the computer could brighten your day.  My cute white computer has allowed me to make countless calls home to see the familiar faces of the people I love.
2.  Outlook…I can read and re-read emails whenever I want to even without the internet.  I have received some very encouraging emails and being able to read those on hard days has been a complete blessing.
3.  Movie nights…When the days are long and tiring or it’s so hot the only thing you can do is lay on your bed, what better thing to do than watch a movie?  And of course, my computer has allowed me to watch You’ve Got Mail in every single country thus far.
4.  Pictures…I am able to view pictures from every country starting with the beginning of the race.  I even have a few pictures from home which bring a smile to my face.
5.  Music…I have a plethora of music choices on my computer for every mood.  Numerous singing with spoons/dance parties have evolved from the fact that there is music on my computer.

And if my computer is actually officially passing on and going to computer heaven, I will survive.  I am blessed for the almost 10 months that I have been able to share with this beautiful piece of machinery and I will relish in the moments of glory I had with it.

I think when I get home I’ll start collecting typewriters.
