On the Road Again…

  ***This blog was written about 4-5 days ago…but i still wanted to post it as a record of our journey and in the spirit of adventurous travel 🙂

                                                                                          

Its seems a little strange that Willie Nelson sprung into my head when trying to decide upon a title for this blog…but there he was and his hit song is a perfect summation of the monthly ritual that we practice here on the World Race. I suppose “In the Air Again” may be a bit more fitting for the first half of this particular trip, but on the second leg we will certainly be wheeling it quite a ways as well between Thailand and Cambodia.

So this is just a blog to let you all know that we are on the move. This morning we began the long haul from the Dominican Republic to Cambodia. This is a call for prayer as we travel literally half way around the world. Prayer for safety in the air and on the ground, protection of all of our baggage and gear which has a way of getting lost or stolen, physical protection as traveling usually makes most of us feel pretty puny and a smooth transition into our new continent. Here is the breakdown of the next few days, just so you know where we are and when…ok, take a deep breath…

·         Tuesday March 3^rd: Santo Domingo ® Miami ® Los Angeles

·         Wednesday March 4^{th –}Thurs5th: Los Angeles ®Tokyo (layover)® Bangkok

·         Friday March 6^th– Bangkok, Thailand ® Phnom Penh, Cambodia ….Whew!

      I am writing this on our first flight of the day from the DR to Miami. I enjoyed a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs and chocolate cake, finished off of course with a Café con Leche…who says we don’t eat good on the world race? J We are all very excited about Asia and the abundant possibilities to share the gospel with many many people in these next three months.
   My nutritious b-fast of eggs, choco cake and coffee!!
