Well, we made it!!  It was an incredibly long journey with only a few hiccups…and we are finally in Cambodia.  From my first step on Asian soil, which happened to be the Tokyo airport, i have loved it!!  Each people group we have encountered so far, Japanese, Thai, and Cambodian, are very sweet and helpful.  They graciously disregard our inability to speak their language and once again i am finding how far a genuine smile can take you 🙂

It is ridiculously hot here!! We sweat at all waking hours…and in the sleeping ones too…but we’re all in this together.  The past two days we have been getting to know our new country.  We have visited a few places of historical significance such as a museum about the genocide that occured only a couple of decades ago and one of the famous buddha temples.

Our ministry begins tomorrow and we are really excited to finally see the University campus we will be working on and to meet the students who we hope to become good friends with in the three short weeks we will have here.

So i just wanted to say we made it and that we are good.  We are getting lots of veggies and meat and fruit here…much of which i have never seen before, but it sure is tasty. (and as many of you know, that is a big statement from me considering i refuse to eat Chinese food in the states)
