It is the fall, and I can feel my soul coming alive.

I love driving with the windows down, with the cool wind blowing. I love hot coffee drinks. I love pumpkins and the carving of them. I love john mayer music and cherry cokes (a fall favorite combo for me). I love so many things that are part of this great season, and I am feeling refreshed and reinvigorated.

The church I am attending is also doing a lot to refresh my soul. I am attending the Austin Stone and it has officially changed my life. I have met wonderful people and have joined a community group. The members and the pastor are truly concerned with following the Lord’s will and doing everything possible in order to “be the church.”

We have been talking about what that means, to “be the church” and how amazing the world would be if the church remembered to be the church. If we truly loved each other, lived in community together, and shared the love of the Lord. We would be able to change the world. We could bring lives to the Lord and live for His glory on scales unheard of. I am so challenged to live like that in my daily life, and It makes me eager for my days on the Race where I can live in community and make disciples for the Lord all over the world.

It is so refreshing to be a part of this amazing body of believers and so challenging to attend church every week and hear the word of the Lord.

I’m sorry for the long time between posts, I am unsure exactly how to use this blog, and just how personal I am going to make it…….

If you are in or near the Austin area, I am having my photography displayed in a local coffee shop for the month of December, and would love to have any of you attend. There will be a reception during the show on a date to be decided and more details to come.

Have a happy and cozy fall!!!
