It's only been a few weeks since I publicly announced that I will be embarking on a lifechanging mission trip, The World Race, early next year. Already I have felt so supported and encouraged by friends and acquaintances who have voiced their interest and excitement about what I'm going to do.
One of my friends absolutely delighted me when he gave me a high quality backpack, tent, and sleeping bag to use abroad, another friend will be hosting a backyard concert in order to help me reach my fundraising goal, and yet another person volunteered to throw a "camping shower" event to encourage people to donate gear and supplies I'll need overseas. I'm so thankful for the way people are rallying around me and it's served as a reminder that I really couldn't do this alone. I am so grateful to have people in my life who believe in me and want to see me reach my full potential as a servant of God.
Thanks to each of you who have been praying for me and who are considering donating toward my trip. I am still in need of several thousand dollars to reach my first deadline in about a month.
