Ok, so World Race training camp wasn't all peaches and cream and double rainbows. It didn't look much lke the idyllic scene I had in mind (see above). There were no wilderness survival lessons, as I expected there would be, and definitely no guarantees about where I would sleep at night. But there were my future travel companions to meet and plenty of challenges to overcome. I'm incredibly glad I went even though I was absolutely dreading it.

After days of team building exercises and hoops to jump through, I was finally assigned to a team for next year! I am thrilled to get to know the six other individuals who will be my travel companions throughout the 2013 trip. The seven of us will work, eat, sleep, pray, and play together for 11 months. I'm sure I'll get on all of their nerves at some point and a few of them might even get on mine, but we are in this thing for the long haul. I am looking forward to growing as a person and as a believer because of the influence and love of these six people. I hope I can offer them compassion, a safe place to share their hearts, and true servant-leadership.

Without further ado, here are the six other members of "Nooma to Nations," the mission team I am already so proud to be affiliated with:

Brad Burton

Emily Gironimi

Lauren Kell

Jenny Manning

Rebecca "Porky" Pokryska

Brendon Woodall

Please keep each of these wonderful people in your prayers as we prepare to leave for South Africa this January. Not all of us have reached our financial goal for December and without that money in our World Race accounts, we will not be allowed to launch with the rest of our squad. I believe each of these six people is called according to the purpose of God, so please believe with me that the rest of the necessary funds will come in before the deadline.
