We made it to Africa! On May 26, 2017 my plane touched down in Uganda and I cried. When I first knew that missions was something that I wanted to do I knew Africa was the place to go. God promised me that He would bring me to Africa. I had no idea how that would happen because at the time I was a sophomore in college on the track to go to Vet school and in a relationship with a boy that I was certain I was going to marry. So to me Africa seemed like it was just a dream that was ungraspable.

However just 3 years later, here I sit in Kilgali, Rwanda (that’s in East Africa) with a life that looks a whole lot different than the one I had as a sophomore in college. I have cried more tears of joyful thankfulness in the past week and a half than I have in a long time. Coming out of my time in Asia I was tired and exhausted, but when I got to Africa it seemed like I finally came up for a breath of fresh air and it was beautiful.

We had a time of debrief with leadership when we first got here and here we got new teams for the last 3 months of the race. So I would like to introduce you to team Kwitanga. (See second picture down).

On May 31, 2017 we headed to our ministry sites. This month my team is partnering with a pastor named Pastor Moses. We are helping out in the school his church has, as well as preaching at church every night.

This past Friday, my team that was given our Rwandan names by the elders. My name is Keza, which means beautiful one. So my whole name is now Keza Jennie Kate Clark because your Rwandan name goes before your Christian name.

I’m still in awe that I’m in Africa and blessed that I serve a God who always fulfills His promises.
