So, this post is probably going to be a little more practical than the rest. For some, you will celebrate & for others, you will probably have exited the page by this point because you were hoping I had said something weird, insightful, or sassy.

Maybe this can be a little of all things.

In 10 days, I will head to Gainesville, Georgia to take part in a week-long training camp for the World Race.

WOOHOO!

So, what does that mean? I FINALLY GET TO MEET THE PEOPLE I AM GOING TO SPEND THE NEXT YEAR WITH! Also, it means that I will get my first taste of what the Race will be like, I will get to train, and I will get a glimpse into what God is doing through this.

Oh, and I’ll also get to go home for a day afterwards so, NC, I’m coming for you!

Because of awesome people like YOU, I have met the deadline required to go to training camp!

THANK YOU!

Over the past week/week and a half, our squad has experienced some changes in people. We were asked for about 9 girls to pray about moving routes, and instead had what I would call a mass exodus. For these lovely sisters of mine, I am thankful for their willingness to be flexible and to be in tune with the Lord. I am so thankful that they are pursuing what they have felt the Lord ask them to do & I’m SO EXCITED to see how they are blessed by their new squads. Selfishly, I’m mourning the changes mostly because I have been dreaming about doing life with these people. Nevertheless, it has been an excellent lesson & reminder that this experience is and will be nothing that I can plan; it is going to be unlike anything I can imagine.

I. AM. SO. EXCITED.

As I move towards camp, there are still a few things I am in need of equipment wise:

-A sleeping pad

-A footprint for my tent (I got the wrong size originally)

-Packing Cubes

If you don’t know what these items are, just ask! I have thought about asking my parents to gift these to me as early birthday presents and buying some of them myself. However, I also wanted to be honest with these needs to the communities that I am a part of. I’m learning that it is okay to not just take care of everything yourself & these are practical ways others can support me in this journey & see what their money is going to.

If you think “Hey! I may be willing to help fund that!” Just let me know. I haven’t looked at pricing or what I need to go with my sleeping bag, but I do know that a footprint for my tent is around $30 and packing cubes are pretty standardly priced. If you feel led to help a sister out with these items, just contact me. These aren’t things that I can use my WR account money for, these are things that come straight from my pocket. They are also things that I do not mind paying for myself; I am working on saving up for them.

One thing I want to stress through all of this: PLEASE DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED TO GIVE!

Prayer is honestly the most powerful gift you can give me and my squad right now as we prepare. I don’t want people to think that I only associate support with monetary support; that is the farthest thing from the truth.

Over the next ten days, please be praying for safe travel, for unity in my squad, for the team I will be given, and for our hearts to be prepared. Pray that we can have our minds focused on training camp, and to be open to these new experiences.

Please join me in praying to be stretched, challenged, and maybe even a little intimidated. Even if I later regret writing that.

Friends, please know how truly thankful, humbled, and blessed I have been through the outpouring of your support. I cannot even tell you how much I have just been sat in awe of everything God is doing through you.

Thank you for believing in me, and thank you for supporting my ministry. This is all for the glory of the Lord, and my prayer is that you see that.

Again, my friends, thank you!
