to get up in the morning to drive to Winnipeg – three hours away – so I
need to be awake. It’s now after 2am and I am still awake – WIDE AWAKE!
what we both experienced today! I know Melissa personally because I had
the opportunity to meet her, hang out with her and befriend her at the
October Squad Ignition Training Camp in August.
The two of us havekinda been talking the last two months about life and what God is
doing…and we are amazed at how much alike things are for us! (Melissa’s the one on the left in the picture!)
Provinces (yes, that’s right…we are both Canadian girls…get used to
it, eh!? Lol). Her blog earlier Do I Dare to Trust Again
was EXACTLY what I was talking to a mentor about over dinner tonight.
The fear of not being “allowed” to go on the January Squad after
already being asked to step off the October Squad. It’s NOT an easy
feeling, yet it’s so real, and I am blessed to know that I AM NOT ALONE
in this. I have Melissa, she has me, we BOTH have GOD and we ALL have
EACH OTHER!!!
the Philippines right now, is kinda overwhelming, heartbreaking and
relieving all at the same time. Melissa and I both feel like we weren’t
ready to go and that this time is a time of rest, waiting, trusting and
listening to God. My heart aches because I am not with a “family” I
hold dear, yet my heart is blessed because I get to now travel the
world with all you WONDERFUL Men and Women of God!
mention our “big news.” I was gonna summarize it, but here’s just a bit
of the conversation…
Melissa: Beth Warden who does a radio show on the
major Christian station and I talked today. I had won a book and she
got wind of the trip, but today I shared with her and she is posting a
link to my blog on
facebook and on her site as well as updating listeners on air about me
and my site
Jenni: yeah…so awesome!!! Wow…I ran into the host
of our radio station today as well, and he wants to do an interview to
promote the trip, my needs, finances, fundraiser etc!
Melissa: holy what!? We both did today thats funny
Jenni: yeah…seriously! I know. How amazing is that??? God’s making sure we aren’t walking alone…
understand why we can’t sleep at night, but then he has someone there
to talk to, encourage and bless you…and that God does have a sense of
humour and that we’ll NEVER WALK ALONE! When we think we are alone,
look around you…God’s there, and so is all of us – H Squad!
under one roof, for one purpose, finally able to put a face to that
name and actually know who’s name goes with that “strange” voice on the
other end of the conference call, and so much more.
