Who knew one week could feel like just three days yet at the same
time feel like a month!? That’s what our time in Krakow, Poland has
been like. A time to pray, explore, and surrender ourselves to God in a
new way! We have been extremely busy since we got here a week ago –
meeting new people, building relationships, living, loving and taking
it all in!

Upon arriving here late Monday night, we had no idea what our
ministry would be or really who we would be working with – we just knew
that we had a place to stay at an amazing hostel for an amazing price,
and that we had one lead…and that we were going to trust God to
provide and do the rest!

Here we are, ready to depart a Country we have all fallen in love
with, amazed, blessed, humbled and touched in more ways than I could
have imagined. Not even KNOWING earlier last week that this Country
would be a destination, it has been exactly what we have all needed.
It’s refreshing, peaceful and captivating! From the monuments to the Catholic churches, to the Jewish community to the river – the city is filled with history, and breathtaking architecture.

The sun doesn’t shine a lot, here in Krakow! It’s been a dark,
gloomy week – full or rain, clouds, wind and a haze! It hasn’t been
pleasant…it’s been cold, and we longed to see the sun. Even our
contacts told us that the sun doesn’t shine much…what a surprise to
wake up one morning – the day most of our team headed to Auschwitz –
and see the sun peeking out from behind the clouds. It was glorious.
It’s now been a few days…and the sun is still shining. The sun was
hidden, yet was always there. How much is that like the SON – he’s
always there, although most people just turn their backs on Him.Not only was the sun out, but the SON was experienced by many this past week!

Being able to come along side of Graceland Ministries – Jay, Colette and

Shawna – and the beginning of YWAM Poland (as the guys who are starting
this branch just moved here a month ago) was enjoyable in every way.
Teaching English, connecting with churches, and walking the streets
have captivated my heart!

Being here in Poland has helped us just begin to open doors for
future World Racers to come and experience a Nation in need of
relationship. Religion and Tradition have taken over…but the hearts
of believers are racing and excited about all that God is doing! This
is the beginning and end of my time in Poland, yet a place that will
forever be remembered and cherished!
