What is faith? How has is changed, impacted, touched your life? Whether it be your own life, or the faith someone else has had – chances are, God’s used faith somehow to make a difference in your life and the world around us!
I cannot begin to tell you how my faith has grown and changed over this past year. Not just saying I have faith, but walking it out and daily trusting God. It’s one thing to say it, it’s another thing to live it.
Watching friends in Vietnam live faith out daily, knowing their own life is at risk. Seeing orphan children have faith that they can have a better life. Praying with faith that someone can be healed – and witnessing it happen! This is all just the beginning of what faith HAS done and CAN do.
The last few months have not been easy. I have been challenged, and still often am. Waiting for my fiance’s visa to come through has been daunting. It has been easy to want to doubt, walk away from hope and faith, lose patience and give up on the whole thing. Weird thing is – I can’t. I am choosing to walk by faith. I am choosing to trust God. I am choosing that no matter what happens, God’s will be done and HIS name be glorified. It is hard. God never says it will be easy. It’s risky. It means I could fail or the outcome could be what I do not want to hear – yet to me, it’s worth it.
One of the songs that has touched me the most and impacted my life recently has been a song by Kutless. It put into words what I have been facing the last few months. It gave me chills! I also know that I am not the only one walking through a valley and a hard time. Don’t give up. Walk in HIM and towards HIM.
