Do you ever feel like all we do is wait? As soon as what we are waiting for happens, we are left waiting for or on something else! It’s like the never-ending process…a round-a-bout!
I am so glad that we have a GOD who tells us in Isaiah that strength will rise when you WAIT UPON THE LORD (paraphrase of Isaiah 40:28-31). I remember waiting on God to figure out what I was going to be doing next. I then waited to see if I was accepted to the World Race. Now, I am waiting once again on Ignition Training Camp in August, before waiting to FINALLY leave on the World Race at the end of September. Waiting is not about me. It’s about God.
Waiting – it doesn’t come easy to me, but it’s a battle I am willing to face. I know I do not have to face it alone and that God uses this time to strengthen us. Worrying doesn’t get us anywhere…waiting on God, however, does! It can be hard to wait on an answer. Sometimes it feels like He doesn’t answer, but wait is an answer and we need to be willing to accept it! Waiting to me means patiently enduring. We are to press on and persevere, no matter what.
To be honest, I feel like I am waiting on everything right now. I am waiting for Camp to start. To begin the World Race. To get married (when God brings the right man into my life). To get to Heaven and meet Jesus and be re-united with loved ones. These are just a few things I am waiting on and have a desire for, but I know that God is using me where I am RIGHT NOW and has me waiting for a reason, even though I do not understand the waiting period!

God has us waiting for a reason. Be patient. Trust God. Wait on God!
