God is not done working…in fact, it is all just the beginning!

This month is the start of our preparation and journey home! Not that my focus is on home, but there are many things here in Romania and around that makes us think about home and what is to come! God has been speaking, and I am anxious to hear his voice, listen to what He says and obey…sometimes it’s harder to than others!

As I have walked the busy street here, I hardly get very far without running into a person who asks for prayer, gives a hug or simply longs to be loved! God calls us to reach out to these people…despite what we are on our way to do or where we are going. We take TIME out of our day to stop, share, pray and love.

Touching the life of someone blesses me. It puts joy in my heart and a smile on my face! It made me think. It’s a part of ministry, our daily lives. It’s something so small. So simple. So meaningful…it’s easy to do here….but what about after!? What about when I go home…will it end? What about the people on the street in my home town, or the city? What about the strangers I meet or the people I know?

This challenge is about reaching out. Stepping out of a comfort zone, the “box” we have grown up in, and doing what God requires of us. Ministry is an ALL DAY, EVERYDAY call. I am not exempt from praying for the person I meet on the street just because I am too busy or don’t feel like it. I’m not exempt from talking to a stranger because I am at home and not on the “mission field.” Home is just as much a mission field as any other Country I have been to…if not more!

I realize “America” is not Romania, Zimbabwe, Thailand, Dominican Republic or the other places I have been…but it IS still a place that needs Jesus. It is a place that needs US to reach out and touch with the love, hands and hearts that God has given us. Why stop what God has started and is doing around the world!? He has called…are we answering His call and walking in his ways? Are we willing to be bold enough and use the words that God gives us to proclaim the name of the Lord?

Don’t just let them walk on by…
