Did you know that today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day? More importantly, do you know what Human Trafficking is? If not, I encourage you to PLEASE google it, ask around and find out. It is not just an issue that involves Asia and women, but it involves men, children and the rest of the world as well!

27.1 million people are enslaved by human trafficking. It is a SERIOUS issue that involves you and me. With the Olympics right around the corner, many young girls are being sold in order to come over to Vancouver, Canada to become a “profit” as a sport during these games. It becomes an attraction. A sideline sport.

This past year, I saw first hand what many of these young girls face. I saw the pain in their eyes and the loneliness and unknown future in their hearts. I watched American men seek out fun while these girls are lost and feeling hopeless. My heart also broke for these children who are forced to go and “beg” on the streets for money, yet seeing nothing from it. The disabled that finally get a chance to work end up being told what to do and being ripped of their integrity.

What are you doing about it? Let’s lift up all those involved in Human Trafficking in prayer. let’s surround them with Love, and bring HOPE back to this world! It’s time to take action!
