Have you ever had one of those days that never seemed to want to end? I’ve been up for almost 24hrs. and am still going…I’ve seen God at work in SO many ways today. Everything from sick staff to bad attitudes to respect, love and weather.

The day started with a devotional on how God loves us…no matter what. My mom talked about my grandpa, so I had an emotional morning. As part of the leadership team, we had a meeting to discuss some issues that are facing us this week…and this summer! From there we had a “typical” morning and then the day got interesting…
God protected us today. I sent the canoes and boat out for skill…then the thunder same, and the dark clouds rolled in and the lightening (don’t worry, I got everyone off the water before it started to lightening). I was on my way up from the waterfront when it started to HAIL! That’s right…not just rain, but hail. The storm moved in SO fast and it was so windy and dark and crazy! It was an adventure and exciting/scary at the same time! It came and went so fast…but, we needed the rain. It rained and stormed the night before, which means, I was already running on little sleep!
Turns out, after the hail storm passed, we got many phone calls from concerned parents and friends that there were 4 TORNADOS that touched down in our area – one was 2 MILES AWAY! Literally! It took out docks, flipped over boats and did some other damage. All we got was a “little” hail storm with hail the size of acorns (one of which hit me on the head…it still hurts, lol).
After all that adventure, we thought we were good to go. God had other plans. Someone went “missing” (just for a walk, but never told anyone where they were going). The thing is, this person is very dear to me, so I was on edge. had some great talks, prayer times…lots of spiritual warfare going on in this person’s life, even at camp in general. Campers are planning a midnight get together, so I’m awake and on alert until the time comes and goes that all is well!
Needless to say, it’s been a long day.  I am worn out. We all are. Please pray…not sure exactly for what, but I need it, the leadership team needs it and the camp needs it. My mind is wondering…bed is calling. The wind is picking up again. God’s waiting for me to spend time with Him. I need Him, and am SO glad I have Him to turn to!
Thanks for being a part of my crazy, unexpected in every way, God-filled day!!
