After a few prayerful, intense and emotional weeks, the door has opened and the time has arrived.

Monday, February 8th, I will be boarding a plane and heading to Haiti, through the Dominican Republic. I do not know what to expect. I have read blogs. I have watched videos. I have seen the pictures. I believe that none of those will prepare me for what is ahead. There are still unanswered questions. I do not know much of where I will be living or what I will be doing – but one thing I know, is that I will be PRAYING. I will be in Carrefour. I will be with four other dynamic women of God.

This team started out being bigger than just us 5, but throughout the last few weeks, names kept coming and going, and eventually this team is who was left. We are excited to see what is ahead, knowing that God has perfectly handpicked each one of us to be a part of this Intercessory team. Amazing things are already happening all around us.

Melinda, our team leader just e-mailed me this amazing story. “I just got off the phone with a Haitian pastor’s wife who arrived in this small little northern MI town about a week ago.  Her husband is still in Carrefour, but he sent her here with their 10 year old son for now. He is sleeping under a fruit tree now in their yard. This woman Marcia is overjoyed that intercessors are coming in (to Haiti).  She said it is just what Haiti needs at this moment in time.  She said Haiti is ‘very religious, but powerless’ as the Christians there are mostly weak and cower in fear from the devil.  They don’t know the power they have in Christ so they live with a big devil and a small Jesus. The word of God needs to be spoken over the land and ‘declarations’ made from the heart of God.  She mentioned that there is a lot of singing, but that is because of fear often- as the people were taught that singing is ‘praying twice’- so when they are overcome with fear, they sing. Anyway, almost every day this week she is meeting with someone to intercede- as that is what her heart just wants to do all the time now.  I hope to meet with her at a prayer meeting this weekend before I get on a plane.”

I am already in deep thought, prayer and preparation. I am enjoying relaxing with some of my squad (Kim Hillebrand, Steph Pridgen and Cameron Caviness) in Oklahoma. Tonight we just spent time in worship and prayer. I am blessed. I am resting. I am refreshing and trying to wrap my head and my heart around what all has taken place this past month.

I know that I will not have access to internet to post blogs or keep you updated while I am away. I am boldly asking you to strongly consider keeping me and the rest of my team in your prayers the next two weeks. Our dates are tentatively February 8th to February 22nd (I will be leaving a few days earlier due to previous engagements). If you would like to or are able to support me financially, please contact me for further information on how to donate to the cause! I am looking at raising $1000 to cover the costs! Also, I will be spending time fasting during the next few days as well as some days during my time in Haiti. Will you also consider joining me through fasting?

To say that I am ready for this trip would be an understatement. I have not
been home in over a month, so the supplies and finances I have are
limited – yet I am trusting HIM, walking in obedience, and continually
being amazed by his goodness. I am blessed. I am nervous. I am
confident that GOD is going to do great and mighty things – He already has.

I am in
Christ. I am at peace! I am Haiti bound!

** side note ** If you are interested, I strongly encourage you to go back and re-read my blogs from Haiti from my time there last February while I was on the Race. To be going back to this Country exactly a year after I first arrived there, and a Country I thought I would never go back to is something I can only give credit to God for. Never say never…
