This month for many of us was about the journey…each journey looked different, but were all apart of one mission, one body and one God!
Changes take place all around us. Often, we are unaware of the changes until someone points it out to us and we take a new look at life and the people around us. Home is not how it was when I left. This Squad is different. So is my team. I am not who I was.
As much as we are different, we work together to form ONE body. We couldn’t do it without each other. When one team-mate rejoices, we share in her joy…and when another one struggles, we all come along side to encourage, pray and support. We affect each other no matter who we are, what team we are on or how different we are!
We can’t control the differences that are in front of us. We need to embrace fully who we are and what God is doing in and through each one of our lives, regardless of how that may look, seem or feel to others. We are all different – unique – yet all have our own meaning, purpose and passion on this journey. We have ALL answered the call and have been obedient to following Christ at all costs.
Our team bonded more this month than we have the past 7 months. We spent time sharing each and every night about what God was doing in and through our lives, as well as sharing our frustrations. It was a month of growth. A month of rest. A month of love. A month of prayer in deeper, bolder, more intimate ways! I feel like a different person. Our team feels different. We love each other and know that we need each other!
As different as this month was from the other months, being an ATL month, being in the mountains, and being in the middle of nowhere, it was a month that we all needed. We saw God in unexpected ways and had more time to minister to each other and have God minister to each one of us than I could have imagined!
Through the differences, we came together to be unified. These woman are more than my team mates and friends…they are family!
Embrace the journey God has placed before you…no matter where it takes you!
