Searchlight may be over, but my time with the Lord is not. Today, I went with two friends to IHOP (the International House of Prayer). It was a time to rest and soak and escape the world around me. It was a time to leave the worries and cares and thoughts that have been racing through my mind behind. It became time to shut my brain off, open my heart and mind to what the Lord wanted to share with me. Not thinking. Not talking. Just praying and sitting…the following is what came about:
I want a LOVE that is real.
I want to just sit and SOAK in your presence.
I desire to be FILLED with PEACE.
I LONG to have a JOY that overflows.
I SEEK you with my whole HEART.
My hands BURN to do what you ask of me.
RESTORE me. REFRESH me.
I ACHE to be where you are.
I need to REST in you.
I am FREE.
I am LOST without you.
I am BLESSED.
I am your DAUGHTER.
You are my BELOVED. I am yours.
Come SATISFY my SOUL.
You DELIGHT in me and I in you.
You are GOOD.
SPEAK Lord, your SERVANT is LISTENING.
I am WAITING.
I want to go DEEP.
POUR out your LOVE on me.
Be my CONSTANT.
FILL me until I am a GUSHING river and then some MORE.
Grant me PATIENCE.
