No, this post is not about Frozen. But I thought it might catch some attention by making the title the same as the most popular Disney song. Or maybe some will choose not to read it just for that very reason…
I did post something similar to Instagram and Facebook. I changed it up a little bit and put it on here because I think its a lesson worth making sure everyone gets to see. including those that don’t have Facebook or Instagram.
On the Race myself and I know many others have learned that God can turn all things into good! Especially things of our past. Past mistakes. The enemy tries to use them to place shame. He tries to box us in and confine us to our past. To keep us from stepping out into the full potential the Lord has for us. During, it seems so dark and scary. But, when we allow God to bring us to the other side, it’s full of light and life. We look back and see what a mighty work God has done in our hearts. He’s given us a chance to be completely transformed by gifting us with His Son.
Even with our past, our Father sees us pure and tells us we are forever His beloved children. We then see how the full picture of our journey makes something so beautiful!
“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
2 Peter 1:4c-9
Keep pressing on! If you must look back, learn from it and then move forward. See that God still used your mistakes to win you back. Then walk continually in fullness of Him, for the road that is set before you is so beautiful!!
Don’t let shame rob you of it.
