D squad is going to amazing places! Yes around the world, but the Lord is taking them to incredible heights in their walk with Him.
I have been so blessed to be apart of this journey with them.
As most of you know, I completed the Race this past year in November 2015. The Lord then called me to lead a group of 35 amazing young men and women along side two incredible people. The 3 of us have gotten the privilege to walk along side these individuals as the Lord takes them through a lot of the same things we experienced during our time on the Race.
I have learned more of what discipleship looks like by getting to walk it out in my roll as an Alumni Squad Leader. I’ve learned more of what it looks like to be available to love freely the way He freely loves us. And more of what church, Kingdom, and living a life fearing, praising and falling in love with our Lord and Savior looks like.
I went to depths I never thought possible on my Race, and getting to be a tool the Lord is using to take even more of His children to these depths and deeper, leaves me speechless.
We serve such a big God that blesses us in ways we don’t always understand. But I am so thankful He made this season of my life so clear!
When I said “yes” to heading back out to squad lead only a month after I returned the Lord told me this would be a season of SOLIDIFYING. Solidifying everything He did in me this past year on the field, and bringing me to a deeper understanding of who I am in Him and what our relationship looks like.
Although I still get to serve in different ministries around the world. Such as painting school, teaching english, visiting orphanages, feeding the hungry and sharing with villages that can’t afford Bibles of their own. I find so much joy and passion in getting to walk along side people like me and using what the Lord has taught me and is still teaching me to point them back to Him.
I have been leading D squad for the past 2 and a half months, and I have just that much remaining, it will be a total of 5 months. I will be heading back to home base in June, leaving 3 of the members on D squad in place of my co-leaders and I. The 3 will then take responsibility in shepherding the squad for the remainder of their Race.
Even though my title as squad leader will no longer be, I have the opportunity to visit the squad for a week in Ecuador for debrief at the end of August. Then again at the FINISH LINE in Argentina at the end of November.
The Lord has provided the people to donate the funds to allow me to be on the field with the squad these first 5 months.
I am still in need of $2000 to join them at these debriefs.
Debriefs are game changers on the Race. They are a time for the squad to come together, reflect on everything leading up to, and refill for the time heading out.
The Lord does so much during these times and I would love to be a part of it!
Would you please pray and see if this is something you are able and willing to give toward.
Thank you again for all the support and prayers that have come my way!
It’s been quite some time on the field for me now. No income makes it a bit scary sometimes. But I know the Lord has taken me where I’ve been and to where I am now for a purpose! So I have no doubt that He will continue to provide as long as I continue to say “Yes!”
