I have been in a shock and awe stage of fundraising on and off for the past 2 months. I began this process in a state of shame and disbelief. I hated the thought of asking for money and I couldn't believe that it would come in.
Since then I have been BLOWN AWAY by the stories I have to tell and the beautiful people in my life who want to support God’s mission through me. The stories I have from fundraising are endless….I have received generous donations from people who I didn’t expect! I’ve received donations from friends in high school who felt led to give me their tithe money. I went into a store one day and after chatting with the lovely owner she gave me money for my trip….and we just met! These people inspire me, the way they give so generously and freely, it’s remarkable…..I never knew Jesus could show his power through money but He’s blown me away.
Someday I plan on being able to do what all of these wonderful people in my life have done. Being able to support someone with a dream to make a difference…someone who is being compelled by the heartbeat of the risen Christ within them….someday I want to be able to pay it forward…and I will.
And actually, I plan on paying it forward immediately. I don’t have money to pay it forward but I have something I value greatly, which is my time. I have the next 11 months of my life to pay it forward to children desperate for love and attention, families in need of restoration, women desiring security, men seeking hope….It's all I have to offer and my prayer is that God will use me in significant ways.
I plan to pay it forward by serving.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve” (Mark 10:45)
I choose to serve because He serves me everyday.
To all my supporters, your donations will not be left stale in an account. Your donations will be brought to life in the form of me and Christ living through me. I’m going to give the next 11 months of my journey my all.
I will strive everyday to be worthy of the calling to carry the life giving gospel of Christ.
I will seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with my God. (Micah 6:8)

God has provided $7,000 which means I’m 45.1% of the way funded!! (happy dance!)
