“Jen, you are my trumpet, get ready for me to rock your world,” said God in Guatemala.
The beauty of what God revealed to me this month reached a climax at the revelation that He was telling me that I am His trumpet…. Hmmm, you may be wondering what that means….I’m still wondering but here is what I’ve gathered so far: When I imagine a picture of what God has in mind for me, a battle scene comes to mind. Preferably a scene from Lord of the Rings or something hard core like that pops into my head. There is an ominous army approaching a city, and there is a strong army within the city but no one is prepared because their focus is elsewhere. The warning signal is up to the one who sees the approaching army, the one who is equipped to call out the evil that is coming quickly and ready to destroy, the one with the trumpet who sounds out a fierce battle cry.
1 Corinthians 14:8–If the trumpet doesn’t sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?
The vision of a trumpet was revealed to me in a crazy cool way which led me to this verse in 1 Corinthians. Long story short, God has been speaking and confirming his revelations to me in scripture, worship, and clouds (Sounds crazy which makes it even more spirit-filled, ask me about it if you want details).
God has been telling me to sound the battle cry and call out the approaching evil so that it can be sent back to hell where it came from by the power given to us in the name of Jesus Christ. The spiritual realm is slowly being revealed to me in bits and pieces as I ask God for it which jazzes me up! He wants me to be a fighter and that’s exactly what I am which is by no strength of my own. The Holy Spirit has given me a deep passion and already been prompting me to do things I never would have a month ago and it’s all for the sake of sounding the trumpet. Still learning what this is supposed to look like but I continue to stand in awe of God, listen to what He has for me, and act when He asks me to (Ecclesiastes 5).
Which this blog is me acting on what He asked me to do today and to pair it with this scripture as an encouragement…
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so (Psalm 107:2) and not just once but again and again and again!! That’s what I’m doing with sharing this little glimpse into my life. This is the beauty of how God is rocking my world and saving me continually. So my friends, speak it out! Speak out that you’ve been saved. Declare OUT LOUD what God is doing in your life, give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love! All praise and honor to you, my God, Amen.
Cheers to trumpets, the power in the name of Jesus Christ, fighters, and saying so!
Jen
This is one of the nights that God told me to shut up and stand in awe of him as he spoke to me in the clouds. This picture was taken in the middle of the night and it was pitch black but the moon was so brilliant.
