On this grand adventure called The World Race we get these days set aside to adventure and enjoy God’s magnificent creation in foreign lands. This past weekend was no exception but this time myself and a small group of us made ourselves the guides. I decided to compile a list of tips to those who like to be spontaneous and make their own adventure.

Tips for a successful adventure day:

  • Decide to get out of the city to breathe fresh mountain air on hike to a remote village coffee shop
  • Make sure your Grab driver is willing to drive an hour and a half up a windy narrowing mountain…where cars aren’t not advised to go
  • Vines are a great opportunity to catch some air

  • Pine needles are very slipper
  • When you reach a little village and hear music — explore!
  • Never turn down an opportunity to worship

But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

2 Corinthians 2:14

  • Break bread with the newly discovered church family when offered a traditional Thai lunch complete with matcha tea!

  • Take pics capturing the joy and peace of the mountain village life
  • When in a remote area and wanting to get back to the city stick out your thumb and trust that God will provide a way back down
  • Always opt for the cab of the truck to take in the crisp mountain air and the rays of sun streaming through the trees!

  • Following these tips will guarantee a filled heart, lots of laughs and incredible memories!

You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Psalms 16:11
