While drinking my coffee this morning I realized I don’t know where I call home anymore. My heart belongs to Jesus so He is my home according to the common saying, Home is Where the Heart is. This past year I have left little pieces of my heart all around the world at every stop we made and with all the friendships I built. Yes, a piece of me will always be tied to my family, friends and the place I grew up here in Michigan but I also am confident the Lord has many more “homes” for me to make however, I have peace and can rest in my travel buddy.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
This September I will make another home in Spain with a new community and new adventure yet same goal. To become more like Christ and let Him lead me into the purposeful life He has called me into. Realizing my home is wherever He calls is my first step into making my commitment to a lifetime of ministry happen.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
