Espera. Espera. Espera. Wait. Wait. Wait. Sometimes God calls us to wait. We may think we are ready and want to jump into an opportunity and dive into work. However, sometimes God has other plans and needs to prepare us for the next mission. When we arrived in El Salvador we were fired up to go and jump in; our thoughts were “the sky’s the limit!” Nevertheless, God had other plans for my team and I as we were stalled in our ministry expectations. Instead, we have had an opportunity to grow as a group by sharing our testimonies and being vulnerable with each other. What we learned only helps us to communicate better and be aware of what we areas we will need more growth. Stepping on the brake gave us time to prepare english lessons, basketball lessons (they could teach us soccer lol), write sermons and testimonies. As a team we are in a better place to lead others; God is already teaching us submission and getting us in the right mindset.
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
