I am so blessed. I was born into a really wonderful family and I made really great friends along the way. I am going to school at Oakland University for marketing. I have two very supportive parents and two encouraging brothers. In my family we have always been adventurous. We spend a week every summer exploring the National Parks hiking, camping, and backpacking. My best friend is my cousin and I have been lucky enough to spend a lot of time and adventures with her as well. I have found comfort and joy in running with the perfect running partner my mom. I have a church that has been a second home to me and grew up going to Youth Group on Wednesday nights with some pretty amazing people.
But with all these blessings I still have felt there was huge part of me that was missing. I loved to help people but I never felt like I was doing enough. I wanted and felt like mission work was supposed to be part a huge part of my life. I thought that maybe I could finish school, go to work, and then maybe one day when I retired I would go on missions. That was never Gods plan for me. God was asking me to go now. He wasn’t asking me to go on a week trip or even a month mission he was asking me to do more. We wanted me to go on World Race and find a whole new set of blessings to add to the long list of things that have made my life so wonderful.
I am so excited to leave in September to meet a new family in my team and squad mates. I am excited to learn a new way to worship. I cannot wait to learn new things about myself on this race. God has blessed me with so much and I know he has so many blessings in store for me.
