Last week was a tough one for me. First it was my first big fundraiser so I was getting excited/nervous about how it would go. Then I found out on Sunday that one of my best friends was in the Hospital in a coma due to complications with his diabetes. So the beginning of the week I spent desperately waiting for news on how he was. News came in slowly because they were unsure what exactly was going on. Tuesday morning I had was getting so worried that I went to a movie by myself just to get away for a minute. By Tuesday night we got the news that he had woken up and was doing better.
So then I began to worry again about my fundraiser. On Sunday the day of my fundraiser I went to church with my parents. Then we went to the bowling alley later in the afternoon. By the time the event start friends and family came rushing in. We ended up having over 40 people show up and among them was the friend that had gone to the hospital earlier in the week. It ended up being a wonderful day full of fun and joy that he had been healed so quickly and that so many people had come to support me! The fundraiser raised over $900!
So today I get to be thankful not only for the success of the fundraiser but Gods healing over one of my best friends! Today I get to celebrate!
