Hey all! So this is the fun little part where I have to talk about myself and try to describe who I am.

Well, here goes…

My name is Jenna Sasso.
I'm 21 years old.
I'm a northerner by birth, but have been living in the south for 3 years now and am convinced that this is where I should have been born…
My parents divorced when I was 4, and I grew up with living with my mom.
When I turned 18 and graduated high school, I decided to move to Memphis, Tennessee, where my dad lives, so I could get to know him better. I'm glad I did.
I'm a sophunior in college. Basically this means I'm in that semester where I'm one class away from junior year but since I'm taking 4 classes, I say I'm a junior, but am classified by my college as a sophomore.
I'm a Psychology major, but am also taking nursing prerequisites, which is why I'm sort of in this weird stage…
Truth is, I still don't know what I want to do with my life. I think I'll probably stay on the mission field permanently one day, but not sure yet…
One of my favorite places in the world is Starbucks (in fact, that's where I'm writing this blog right now). I knew it got bad when the people at my local Starbucks not only knew my name but what I drank, so I cut back quite a bit. It saves me money and calories haha.
I love my church, and the people in it. They truly know how to love like Jesus loved, and they challenge me in my faith.
I'm also an avid reader. I read ALL the time. I have a Kindle, and I've discovered that's a dangerous thing for an avid reader to own, mostly because it's waaaaaay to easy to log on and buy books automatically, as opposed to having to get in my car and drive to the bookstore or something. But Jesus is teaching me self control ๐Ÿ™‚
I also write…A LOT. I keep a journal and can write pages and pages a day. It's how I express my love for the Lord best.  Many of my friends are trying to convince me to write a book, and I'm pretty sure I will at some point. Maybe I'll work on it while on the Race!!
I stay pretty busy with church, school, work, Bible studies, etc, so I don't really have any on-going hobbies. I used to be an avid scrapbooker, but haven't had too much time to do it lately. Every now and then when I have a creative spurt, I'll pick it up and do something ๐Ÿ™‚
I work at the grocery store on the naval base here in the Memphis area (I live on the naval base too…my dad is retired navy). I love my job. Probably too much. It gets stressful sometimes, but I have great co-workers, and we have a lot of regular customers who I'm getting to know and growing to love.
Well, I'm gonna stop talking now. As I said, I write a lot, so I'm sure I'll blog more than you would hope for ๐Ÿ˜‰ And besides, for those of my teammates who are reading this, you'll have 11 months to get to know me: I don't want to give it all away now!!!
I'll post another blog soon about why I feel led to the World Race, and in particular why I feel lead to July 2012 Route 3. Until then, God bless! Excited to share this portion of my life with all of those who will faithfully read my blog, and more importantly with those who I will be serving alongside in 11 different countries around the world!!!
