I have a lot of catching up to do with what’s been happening since being back in the states for about a month in half. Hmm…where to start?
I have seen God showing me a lot this year about my gifts,call, and passions,but was really at a stand still of what my “next season ” was until days ago. My thoughts after the race were to go where I have community and people who get what I’am walking through ,being fresh off the race and all.That place for me is Pittsburgh, I have friends there who have done the race and happened to have an empty room.
I was offered a position in Pittsburgh,working with youth.I had a place to live,had a church community, and was preparing to move down there in days when everything was stopped!
What I suddenly realized after making plans for Pittsburgh was there was not a peace in me to commit to this season for a year.I was going with what I knew and what I wanted; to be with my friends and community. But because I was so focused on what was in front of me I was missing what my Heavenly Father was trying to show me.
He kept showing me India! This was my favorite country,and for over a week I kept seeing India in products I purchased,shows I watched,and people I saw at the store.It became clear God wanted my attention after the same scriptures were shown to me that I read a lot in India. Well it made sense, I loved India and knew I would visit again;but what to do there,and when? Were my questions!
So naturally I prayed about what steps to take with India being on my mind. All that kept coming to me was how I wanted to pursue Beauty for Ashes( a women’s ministry that is part of adventures in mission). So I sent an email about becoming trained in beauty for ashes and having a passion for going to India at some point to bring healing to the woman and girls there.
The response I received from that email informed me there is a team being formed to go to India In January and there are spots open. I didn’t think to much about it to be honest. I was set on Pittsburgh and it seemed to much to prepare for because I would need 3 months of training before leaving in January.
Well I received a call the next day from adventures in mission about going to India. God had my attention! After a few long conversations and much prayer with several trusted people I committed to going to India and the 3 month training in Gainesville Georgia called CGA the center for global action.I made this decision days before I needed to be down in Gainesville and really saw my trust and faith in the almighty God being tested as soon as I said yes!
This was about ten days, and I’m officially in Gainesville starting orientation for CGA and all Gods preparing me for next! Stay locked in for part 2 next week 🙂
