I’m 23 years old and in 19 days I’m going to be leaving all the comforts of home to travel to 11countries in 11 months.

Notice a theme here?  If not, you probably weren’t a math major or in love with numbers…well, I am both!  Being in love with numbers, I had to write at least one blog about my favorite kind of numbers, prime ones.

Me and my best friend Liz…we both really love math

Things I’m leaving behind (in prime numbers of course):

7 wonderful family members
The cutest 13 month old niece ever
3 best friends (sorry Liz, but 1 isn’t a prime number)
My 3 bedroom townhouse and 2 wonderful roommates
5 math related jobs
The opportunity to dye my hair every 29 days
3 delicious meals a day
7 minute hot showers
47 Covenant Pines Bible Camp staff members
7 weeks with my wonderful SWEATS
127 movies…
53 cd’s in my favorite silver car
2 beautiful guitars
11 episodes of Castle this season and 7 episodes next season
41 WILD hockey games
13 of my favorite hoodies
5 pairs of overalls/shortalls
Beating a ladder in Mortal Kombat in 31 minutes
Watching 3 episodes of Angel on Netflix before bed
5-7 months with at least one blizzard
3 weeks of flooding in Fargo
8675309 other things (and yes that number is prime)

Things I’m going to gain (also in prime numbers):

5 amazing people who will be my team/new family
2 person tent
11 months of insane experiences
At least 73 new friends
2 new backpacks
Approximately 487 things I wish I never ate
Infinite times seeing God do miracles and change lives (I realized infinity is not prime, but I don’t think I’ll be able to count the how many times God is great!)

As we all know, infinity beats all.  So no matter how many things I’m leaving behind, it will never compare to everything that God is going to show me next year and I couldn’t be more excited!
